                                                Operation Sceptre Knife Crime Awareness Week 13th - 19th May

Dear Chorley Residents

As part of the Offensive Weapon Act 2019 it is illegal to be in possession of certain weapons in a private place.  These weapons include Machete's, Knuckle Dusters and Zombie Knives to name a few.

If you have any weapons that you would like to surrender then you can reply to this message and we will arrange to come and collect them from you.

Alternatively there is a weapons bin outside Chorley Police Station for these to be surrendered. 

You can be reassured that you will NOT be prosecuted as we encourage Weapons surrenders during the Op Sceptre Week of Action.
