There are a few updates for your area that might be relevant for your information.

Hate Crime - there have been a few reports of incidents relating to racially motivated crimes. Please could I kindly ask that we look out for one another, and be mindful and respectful of our differences. I will be organising some sessions with our Hate Crime Co-ordinator in our area soon, and will let you know when and where these will take place. Please also be aware that low level hate crimes can be reported third party through Calico.

Fires in Hurstwood Reservoir - the weather has turned out nice again (!) but that has also meant there have been reports of fires set in the woods surrounding the reservoir. I went up yesterday alongside Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service where they were also putting up signage relating to the setting of campfires. The dry and warm weather makes this incredibly dangerous, as fire can spread quickly through dry and warm wooded areas like Hurstwood. Please do not take disposable barbecues or set up campfires in the area.
