On 15/05/2025 at around 2 PM, Police received a call in relation to a knife point robbery in progress on HATFIELD STORES on HATFIELD AVENUE, FLEETWOOD.

The offender left prior to police arrival discarding the knife in a nearby garden.

Following a quick response by Wyre Police team 5, the knife was recovered and the scene was secured.

Police Community support Officer 7259 Nick Barber was walking the beat & sighted a male matching the description given by the shop keeper within minutes of the incident.
This male was detained and consequently arrested.

A 45 years old male from Fleetwood, remains in custody in Blackpool for Aggravated Burglary.
Thank you to the members of public at the time for helping to protect our hard working retail staff that should not be exposed to these heinous crimes.
