Dear Resident

If you aren't aware under the offensive weapon act 2019 it is now illegal to possess certain items in a private place aswell as a public place. Items consist of knuckle dusters, machetes and flick Knives to name a few. 

This week is Operation Sceptre.   A week long knife crime initiative where we ask people to surrender such weapons. 

If you have any weapons that you would like to surrender please reply directly to me or email 7402@lancashire.police.uk 

Rest assured you will not be prosecuted for voluntarily surrendering such items. It just means we can remove dangerous weapons from the community.
