Today marks the start of the national week long operation which targets knife and weapon crime.

This week Officers will be carrying out the following activity.

🚔 Weapons Sweeps
🚔 Educational inputs
🚔 Targeted visits
🚔  Other proactive targeting.

If you aren't aware the law changed in 2019 to make it illegal to possess certain weapons even in a private place.

Knives and weapons can be surrendered in the knife bins at

📍 Morecambe Bus Station
📍 Lancaster under Carlisle Bridge (Ryland Park side)

Or taken to the Morecambe or Lancaster Police Station front desks.
