Day of Action Hornby Road

We attended Hornby Road on Tuesday 20/05 with Blackpool Council and Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service.

Multiple addresses were visited.

  • 8 x Fire home safety checks completed with many other addresses given leaflets in order to arrange a check in the future. A hard of hearing fire alarm was also arranged for a vulnerable resident

  • Several pieces of intelligence gained and submitted

  • Blackpool Council found an address that they are going to be returning to due to concerns with the property and landlord

  • Another property narrowly avoided an emergency prohibition order where landlord had not serviced the fire alarm leaving it in fault for months and there was no hot running water in the flats. This was only avoided due to an emergency alarm engineer attending. A vulnerable male was identified in the property and safeguarding referral was submitted.

  • An elderly female was also found collapsed inside of an address, ambulance was called and safeguarding referral submitted.

  • Good work all round from you local neighbourhood policing team , fire service and Blackpool council

    Thank you
