Traffic operation 13th June

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Road Safety Issues, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

Officers from your Rossendale Neighbourhood Policing Team hit the road on Friday 13th June to put the brakes on dangerous driving - and thanks to your feedback through Lancashire Talking, we knew exactly where to focus!
Across 10 hotspot locations (including Manchester Rd, Burnley Rd, and Booth Rd), the team carried out a full day and evening of action... and here are the results:
πŸš— 11 tickets issued for those speeding
🚦 11 tickets issued for those driving through a red light
❌ 3 tickets issued to those without wearing a seatbelt
πŸ“‹ 2 traffic offence reports
πŸš“ 1 vehicle seized under Section 59 for driving anti-socially
πŸ›‘ 1 vehicle seized under Section 165 for driving with no insurance
⚠️ 6 fixed penalty notices were also issued for offences like insecure loads, tinted windows and parking violations!
Alongside this, our team worked with Lancashire Parking Services in Rawtenstall and Haslingden, helping drivers brush up on their parking knowledge!
We are listening to what matters most to our residents and taking action. This is just one example of the work we are doing day-in-day-out with and for our communities.
