Here's an overview/Info of the BVFEST that we will be attending!

BVFEST is a vibrant community festival taking place across various venues in Buckshaw Village. It’s a celebration of the people, local businesses, and talent that make our area special. The event brings together residents, organisations, community and wellbeing groups, local shops, and artists for a fun-filled day of connection, entertainment, and mutual support.

This marks our first large-scale event under the BVFEST name, although some members of our committee have organised numerous smaller community events over the past eight years. Our goal with this festival is to reach a wider audience and help raise the profile of Buckshaw Village.

On the park behind the RMG Community Centre, a curtain-side truck will serve as a temporary stage, hosting live performances by local talent throughout the day. This area will also feature bouncy castles, penalty shootouts, a mobile bar, and stalls for Derian House (our chosen charity) and our headline sponsor.

Emergency services will be stationed in the RMG car park. Chorley’s Angels and the fire brigade are confirmed, and we’re awaiting confirmation from the mounted police unit. PCSOs and cadets are also expected to attend.

Inside the RMG Community Centre, the Guides will be running children’s crafts in the small room. The main hall will host performances from local dance groups and a martial arts group. There will also be tombola’s, arts table, face painting, a candy floss stall, and refreshments available from the hatch.
