Local Roe Lee Area Clean-up

Good evening,

Today, your local neighbourhood policing team have conducted a Partnership Beat-Sweep in the Roe Lee area. This has taken place around Douglas Place and Gretna Walk.

You may have seen officers and members of the council conducting litter picking, address visits, clearing the water stream of rubbish and seizing abandoned vehicles. After your reports to us and Partners about fly tipping, littering, abandoned vehicles and anti-social behaviour, this has been our response.

  • 5 vehicles have been seized from the area
  • Over 60 bags of litter and rubbish collected
  • Smoke alarms checked
  • Local grassland and tree's maintained
  • Abandoned pedal bikes/furniture/rubbish removed from the water stream
  • We'd like to thank all Partners who joined us and hope you're ready to kick back and enjoy your Summer!

If you see any fly tipping offences, please report it to the council who will take necessary measures to deal with it.

Thanks for your reports, please continue to let us know of any other issues in the Roe Lee area.
