Illegal Use of E-Bikes and E-Scooters - Anchorsholme Park

Good Afternoon,

We know many of you have reported the nuisance bikes on Anchorsholme Park.

Yesterday, Blackpool's Neighbourhood Policing Team and Roads Policing Unit joined forces with Trading Standards, Immigration, Blackpool Council and other partners in an Operation to address these issues.  

Across Blackpool  a total of 56 illegal e-bikes, motorbikes, scooters, and illegally adapted cycles were seized including 2 on Anchorsholme Prom.  These were mostly seized under section 165 of the Road Traffic Act for not having insurance or a licence.

We are committed to continuing to tackle these issues.
