Outdoor Fire Safety Advice 🔥

As we enjoy outdoor spaces, please keep in mind these important safety tips when using fire outdoors:

Bonfires & Garden Fires – Keep fires small, well-supervised, and away from buildings, fences, trees, or hedges. Never leave them unattended.

Barbecues – Use on flat, stable ground away from anything flammable. Keep water or sand nearby in case of emergencies.

Cigarettes – Always ensure cigarettes are fully out before disposal. Never drop lit cigarettes on grass, parks, or woodland areas.

Waste Burning – Do not burn household waste or materials that create toxic smoke. Follow local council guidance on waste disposal.

Wind & Weather – Avoid lighting fires in windy or very dry conditions, as flames can spread quickly.

Extinguish Properly – Always put out fires completely before leaving, using plenty of water and making sure embers are cool.

By taking these precautions, we can reduce the risk of accidents and protect both our community and environment.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
