Attempt Burglary, Lodge St & Vehicle Crime, Spencer St

Hi Resident

You are receiving this email to make you aware of an attempt burglary on Lodge St and a vehicle crime report on Spencer Street.  On both occasions the offender has not gained access and left the area.

Enquiries in relation to cctv have been completed and varying descriptions obtained and unfortunately the faces have been covered.  Below is a time frames on Saturday, Sunday and Monday of above incidents along with other suspicious activity reported which may well be linked.  If you have cctv and are able to review footage and believe you have an image that may assist, then please respond to this message in the first instance.

18/08 03:15  Leyburn Close - Male in dark clothing, face mask and had a torch locking in vehicles.

18/08 03:37 Dent Dale - Male on driveway, ran when disturbed.  No description.

18/08 04:00 Sandy Lane - Male in green jacket/duel coloured, trainers and balaclava.

17/08 03:03 Lodge Street - Male wearing balaclava, duel coloured jacket and Nike trainers

16/08 04:11 Spencer Street- Male, no description, trying car doors.

This activity is not just in the Peel/Barnfield wards, and we would urge residents to ensure that property is secured at all times to prevent any access being gained.

Rest assured that these areas have been highlighted to response officers that cover these areas during the evening when neighbourhood officers are not on duty and we would ask that if you believe a crime is about to take place then you call on 999 for a resource to be deployed immediately.

Thank you for your continued support.

Regards

Suzanne
