Doorstep sellers

I have been made aware this month that there are a few issues surrounding doorstep sellers or people claiming that they have been released from prison and are looking to turn their life around by making quick and easy money. They will usually be selling household items.

Sometimes they can be quite pushy but don't feel pressured to buy anything, or even answer the door to them especially since we are coming into winter and it is getting dark earlier now.

There have been times where i have approached them myself while out and about and asked them to mind their attitude and language in the area as we have had reports of them being rude and pushy towards elderly residents. 

If you ever come across a doorstep seller and feel uncomfortable, best thing is not to answer the door, or you can ring the police and we will come out and help.
