Bonfire Night Safety Message

As we celebrate Bonfire Night, we want everyone to enjoy the festivities safely and responsibly. Please remember:

🔥 Fireworks and bonfires can be dangerous – always follow the Firework Code and only buy fireworks marked with the CE safety mark.
🚫 Never give sparklers to children under five, and always supervise older children when using them.
🐾 Keep pets indoors – loud noises can be distressing for animals.
🚓 Respect your neighbours and be mindful of noise and debris. Anti-social behaviour or the misuse of fireworks will not be tolerated and may result in police action.
👀 Attend organised displays where possible – they’re safer and often more spectacular!

The Lune Road Cricket club will be holding their fireworks display on Saturday November 9, 5.30pm to 11.30pm with fireworks at 8.30pm. It will be good fun with lots of activities and food stalls and only £6 per adult and £4 per child. 

Our officers will be out across the community this week to help ensure everyone has safe and enjoyable bonfire night celebrations.
If you see any unsafe or anti-social behaviour, please report it via 101, or 999 in an emergency.
