Blackburn College Event - Remembrance

This morning, officers from Blackburn Neighborhood Policing Team attended a remembrance event at Blackburn College. 

Wreaths were placed by the Police, cadets, students and staff and a 2-minute silence was observed at 11am to remember everyone who fought in the war, the sacrifices that were made and the lives that were lost. 

During the morning, officers held sessions with Year 9 students who attended various high schools in Blackburn where we had quizzes, discussions around various policing situations and Q&A sessions. 

The event gave Year 9 students an insight into the roles & responsibilities of the Police and provided them with a great opportunity to learn more about our roles and explore potential careers paths.  

All the students were extremely co-operative and engaging and officers thoroughly enjoyed the morning.
