Recent Fraud Incidents

Good afternoon, 

This is an important message regarding multiple reports of Fraud that have occurred throughout East Lancashire, with Blackburn banks also being a recent target. 

It has been reported that a group of men have lingered near to ATM machines in the Town Centres, then when someone goes to withdraw cash, they have distracted them, before the victim's bank card appears to be retained by the ATM. 

After that, a lump sum of cash has been withdrawn from the victim's bank account. 

Our recent report of this occurred at Lloyds TSB bank on Church Street in Blackburn Town Centre. 

Please follow this important information on how to protect yourselves from fraudsters. Some of the most vulnerable to these types of scams may not see the messaging on social media, so we're asking you to tell your loved ones and neighbours about these top tips too.
