E Bikes/ Scooters

Good evening,

With Xmas approaching I have no doubt towards the top of some children's present lists will be an E bike / E scooter.

This is a quick note to parents who may be thinking of purchasing one of these, to consider a few of the issues that surround the use of these. 

Because the E bikes & E scooters are for sale in certain shops, it does not mean that they are legal to use on the road.

These E bikes & e scooters cannot be ridden on roads; roads can be classed as;

Highway (public road)          Footpath

Bridleway                               Cycle Lane

Grass Verge                            Car Park

Effectively they cannot be ridden anywhere except private land with the land owners permission.
