Recent vehicle crime

Good MorningResident,

Unfortunately we have received a report of vehicle interference in the Tockholes Road area of Darwen. The offenders have entered the car where an untidy search has been conducted. Fortunately nothing has been taken from the vehicle. 

We would like to take this opportunity to advise people to do a physical check of the vehicle to ensure it is locked and not to be reliant on the key fob. We also advise you to utilise personal CCTV or video doorbells to assist in protection of your vehicles.  If your vehicle has the electronic stop start facility please consider purchasing a faraday bag to protect any signals being gained. These can be purchased for around £5 on online stores like Amazon, eBay. 

In the run up to Christmas we understand people are a lot busier and may leave items in the vehicle whilst continuing to shop etc. Please try to remove these items as soon as practical.
