Op Limit - drink drive operation in rural Lancaster

Following intelligence received regarding individuals consuming alcohol in rural pubs and then driving, a targeted drink-drive operation was conducted in rural Lancaster yesterday evening (Saturday 6th December 2025). The operation aimed to deter and detect those driving under the influence, ensuring the safety of our communities.

During the operation:

Multiple vehicles were stopped and drivers were breath-tested.

Positive results were recorded, and action was taken against those who blew over the legal limit.

This proactive approach demonstrates our commitment to reducing road risk and safeguarding rural areas. Please continue to report any concerns or intelligence relating to drink-driving so we can maintain this focus. Our drink driving operations will continue over the festive period so our message is simple: Don't drink drive!
