Re: Rogue Traders

Residents may have seen several police officers completing some door knocks in the Ribchester area today. This was just in response to Trading Standards reporting to us that there has been a local resident who had contact with possible rogue traders. Our visits were just as a reminder to be vigilant and report anyone you suspect as being a scam trader, to Lancashire Trading Standards on 0808 2231133. Always try and get quotes for works or services, from several approved traders if possible. There is also info of the Safe Trader Scheme on www.safetrader.org.uk. We handed out some free window stickers today, warning against doorstop sellers. If we missed you today and you would like a sticker, please reply to me on this message, and we can get those dropped off for you when we are patrolling.
