Operation Limit - Drink/Drug driving campaign DON'T DRINK DRIVE |
||
|
Lancashire Police launched Operation Limit last week urging motorists not to drink or drug drive over the Christmas period.
This will involve extra road policing patrols across the county as well as the use of drink and drug check sites.
Already, too many drivers have shown a non-festive attitude when getting behind the the wheel. In the first week of the campaign, our officers arrested 66 people across Lancashire for drink/drug offences, a rise of 20% from this time last year.
Please help keep our roads safe, don't put your life and the lives of others at risk by drink or drug driving.
We don't want to spoil the festive fun, but urge people to book a taxi, arrange a pick up, use public transport or have a designated driver in your group.
And don't forget that alcohol and drugs can stay in your system for longer than you think - you may still be over the limit the next morning.
Stay safe and have fun.
