Hi Resident Throughout last week we completed a week of targeted action in response to concerns raised by you through our Lancashire Talking survey.
The operation focused on tackling anti-social behaviour, drug-related issues, and boosting community confidence in the Wellington Court and Nelson Street areas. Hereโs what weโve been doing: โ Drug enforcement โ Officers carried out Operation Centurion foot patrols, vehicle searches, stop checks, and drug wipes, resulting in a cannabis community resolution. ๐ฎ ASB interventions โ Youths involved in anti-social behaviour were moved on, breaches of Acceptable Behaviour Contracts identified, and civil enforcement action is underway. ๐คฉ Community engagement โ Coffee with a Cop at Belvedere Care Home, letter drops, and regular foot patrols to reassure residents and sign up more people to In The Know. ๐ Traffic checks โ Eight vehicle stops, six compliance checks, and one penalty issued for a child not wearing a seatbelt. ๐ค Partnership working โ Joint visits with Onward Homes and plans for an environment audit to address lighting and damage concerns.
Several intelligence reports were submitted during the week, supporting ongoing investigations. The Neighbourhood Team will continue with Acceptable Behaviour Contracts and issue Community Protection Warnings to maintain progress.
Next steps: ๐
A joint site visit with partners on 17th December to agree long-term solutions. โ Another Coffee with a Cop event next month to keep the conversation going. Want to have your say?
