Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service wants to hear your views |

Dear Resident
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service is consulting the public on its council tax precept for 2026-27.
We are proposing a small increase of just £5 per year (on a Band D property). This modest rise will help us maintain essential services and continue investing in the safety of our communities, while keeping our precept well below the national average.
Steven Brown, Director of Corporate Services, said:
Over recent years, the Service’s real-term funding has dropped by £10 million since 2016. We face a funding shortfall of at least £5 million over the next five years. The proposed increase will help us cover rising costs and continue providing vital services, such as keeping fire engines staffed 24/7 across the county.
We want to hear your views. Please take part in our consultation and find out more by visiting our website.
Thank you for helping us keep Lancashire safe.
Kind regards, | ||
