As we wrap up another busy festive period, we want to extend a heartfelt thank‑you to all our residents for your continued support throughout Operation Elves. Your vigilance, kindness, and community spirit have made a real difference.
Over the past few weeks, our officers have been out across the area offering crime‑prevention advice, engaging with shoppers, and working closely with local businesses. Thanks to this joint effort, we’ve made several arrests for shoplifting and helped keep our town centre safer for everyone.
We’ve also handed out over three hundred purse bells to help protect shoppers from opportunistic theft. The response has been fantastic, and we’re grateful to everyone who took the time to speak with us, share information, or simply stop by for a chat.
