Local Priorities Wildlife Crime Issues Message |
||
|
I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Wildlife Crime Issues, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. Hello, Just to let you know that yesterday the South Rural Taskforce acted on community information and stopped a male who was reported to be hare coursing on farmland in the Altcar / Halsall area. The male was using the Cheshire lines path as a way of getting between the land. The male tried to evade police but wasn't quick enough and was caught trying to get over a brook. The male was interviewed, had items seized and was reported for multiple wildlife offences. Thank you to the community for your continued support. Thanks Sean Lancashire Police have a team dedicated to the protection and detection of both wildlife and heritage crime. They deliver dedicated, targeted policing that engages with rural communities and addresses their unique policing needs.
