Recent incidents

Good morning everyone,

I would just like to share a couple of recent incidents that may have been a concern to a few of you. Over the past week, we've had a couple of recent burglaries in Colne, particularly around Albert road including a couple of licensed premises. I would like to share the news that we did arrest a male in the early hours of Tuesday morning for going equipped for burglary/theft offences. And after some enquiries we established that the male matched the description of the offender caught on CCTV for one of the burglaries on Albert road. He has since been charged with Burglary and will be going back to prison.

Another incident was one of concern to the rural community, last night a 4x4 type vehicle with 3 males on board were seen in suspicious circumstances on a farm in rural Trawden, they were challenged and reported to us. The vehicle came over the border from Yorkshire so this information was quickly passed to West and North Yorkshire police. The vehicle was located and seized by officers in West Yorkshire and we are awaiting an update on the occupants on board. I believe this vehicle is possibly the one seen in a number of suspicious circumstances recently, which we have now seized.
