Possible Scam

Dear Resident,

Bogus male claiming to be from British Gas.

Circumstance being:

On Sunday 25th January 2026 a male described as being suspicious has called at an address on Endsleigh Gardens. The male left a card with an appointment time / date to advise he will come back to check the residents smart metre.

Enquires were made with British Gas. Their advice was - they had no representatives operating in the area on this day.

Description provided to police of the male: late 50's / large build / glasses / wearing a uniform with cards and a badge believed to be fake.
