Incident Involving Dangerous Dogs

Good Afternoon,

Police attended an incident on Marsden Road Burnley on Sunday 1st February 2026 where 2 dogs were attacked by 2 other dogs who were dangerously out of control. One of the dogs being described as a light brown/ sandy coloured pit-bull type dog.

Sadly this incident resulted with 2 dogs losing their lives due to the injuries they sustained.

We are requesting information from members of the public in relation to the matter and the dogs involved.

Please be vigilant when out in the area of Marsden Road and report any sightings of any unsupervised or aggressive dogs.
