Following reports of suspicious activity in your area overnight we have been made aware of males checking in gardens and sheds and vehicles that may be insecure around 1am onwards.

Can we please request that you make sure your vehicles are locked and secured and that you don't leave anything on show that may be of value.

To prevent suspicious attempts on your sheds and garages, consider the following security measures:

Install Strong Locks: Use heavy-duty padlocks and mortice deadlocks to secure your shed doors.

Use Security Lighting: Install motion-activated lights around your shed to deter potential intruders.

Mark Valuables: Mark your items with a UV pen or engrave them to make them harder to sell and easier to trace if stolen.

Keep Valuables Secure: Store expensive tools and equipment in a lockable cabinet or ground anchor inside the shed.

Regular Inspections: Conduct monthly checks on locks, hinges, and security devices to ensure they are functioning properly.

Implementing these measures can significantly reduce the risk of break-ins and enhance the security of your shed.

Should you have cctv can you ensure that they are working and active and not in need of charging or new batteries.
