Clitheroe Castle Keep

Good afternoon Resident,

You may have seen Ribble Valley Borough Council's recent post about the ongoing work to Clitheroe Castle keep. The keep is currently closed to the public until the work is completed in around 6 months. 

Unfortunately, we have received reports of youths entering the site and climbing on the scaffolding surrounding the keep. This area is an active construction site and is strictly out of bounds. Climbing on scaffolding presents serious risks, including falls from height, unstable structures and potential contact with hazardous materials. 

We ask parents and guardians to please speak with their children about the dangers of entering restricted areas.

The site is monitored by a security company and officers will continue to patrol the area and deal with anyone accordingly.
