Potential scam/fraud awareness

Good morning Resident,

My name is Kristian, I am one of the local PCSO's that cover the Euxton and Buckshaw area. 

I am just sending a message out as we have received reports of a potential fraud/scam caller. The caller is claiming to work for ‘United Utilities’ and has called residents in the Euxton area. The caller stated to the resident that they had an internal leak and that they were coming to fix it. 

This is NOT true!

When residents have received the call, they have then called United Utilities after and they have said they did not make the call. They also stated they have received a few calls similar to this.

Please be aware and safe from callers like this, and make sure to ask for some sort of identification.
