Bike theft - Preston Road

Dear Residents, 

Please can we make you aware of a recent shed break that occurred between 12.30-1.00 am on Wednesday the 4th March.

The property was just off Preston Road in Clayton Le Woods, near to St Bedes Church.

The offenders have gone over the back garden fence and broken into a garden shed and removed 3 bicycles from within. Then made their way back over the fence and onto Gardenia Close then Forsythia Drive. We are unsure if they went towards Chorley or Preston.

There were 3 offenders all in dark clothing with some hi viz patches on the legs and shoulders. From the footage we have the offenders seem late teenagers and are slim/ medium build.

We are asking for you to check CCTV cameras between midnight and 1.30 am on the 4th of March.

If you have any information to help locate these bikes or have any CCTV footage then please get in touch. If you see the bikes being  ridden you need to ring 101 or 999. Bike descriptions are:

Bike 1 adults KONA bike grey/gold 

Bike 2 adults KONA bike in grey/pink 

Bike 3 youth Transition bike in electric blue

Please make an effort to lock and secure your bikes. Chain them together and to something that isn't movable. We do bike marking events at different locations throughout the villages so please come along to the next one. If you would like any bike crime prevention advice please let us know.
