Dog fouling is unpleasant and affects the look, feel, and safety of our streets and green spaces. If you spot dog mess that hasn’t been cleaned up, you can report it directly to your local council — they are the organisation responsible for dealing with these issues.

While we understand how frustrating dog fouling can be, it isn’t something the police can enforce. Councils have the powers to investigate, issue fines, and take action against repeat offenders. Reporting it to them ensures it reaches the right team who can make a difference.
