I would like to make you aware of a series of vehicle crime incidents in your local area. Over the last week we have received reports of theft from motor vehicle offences at WESTBROOK CRESCENT, GREENACRES, GLENEAGLES, SUNNINGDALE and an attempt on LINKSGATE. At this time, it is not known how the suspect gained entry as no damage was caused. Items stolen have included cash, bank cards, jewellery which were left in the glove compartment or centre console. Enquiries are ongoing including CCTV. From CCTV already retrieved it is believed that a lone male suspect is responsible wearing tracksuit clothing and carrying a backpack. The offences have generally occurred when dark around 10pm through to midnight most reported on/around the 2nd of March 2026. Please remain vigilant and ensure you report any suspicious circumstances on 101. Always lock your vehicle, even when parked at home.
Remove all valuables — including loose change, bags, and electronics — from inside your vehicle
Keep keys secure inside your home; consider using a Faraday pouch to protect against signal‑boost theft.
Check your CCTV/doorbell cameras and report any suspicious activity to police.
Fit an alarm or install a tracker
Secure your number plates
Use physical security – steering wheel lock or a lock that fits over the gear lever acts as a good deterrent.
