Lancashire Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw met with neighbourhood officers in Morecambe to hear first-hand about community concerns and the issues frontline teams are tackling across the Lancaster area.
During the visit, Commissioner Grunshaw learned how officers are working closely with partners to prevent and tackle anti-social behaviour, serious violence, and discussed local issues being experienced in Morecambe and the wider borough. Discussions also focused on the impact these issues have on residential areas, local businesses, and the wider community. The Commissioner reaffirmed the importance of visible neighbourhood policing in helping residents feel safe and confident. He praised the dedication of officers working in Morecambe and the wider district to respond to local priorities and support vulnerable people. Clive Grunshaw, Police and Crime Commissioner for Lancashire, said: “Listening to the concerns of our communities and understanding the work that officers are doing in different areas, is crucial in delivering a strong, efficient policing service that the public have confidence in. “As the public’s voice in policing, I am committed to acting on what the public tells me, securing the necessary resources to deliver them, and standing up for Lancashire and fair funding to support our officers in their vital work. “As I work to deliver the most effective police force possible, through strong leadership and tough scrutiny, I will continue to work with partners, bring stakeholders together and ensure that every penny spent is used to deliver the best possible service for the people of Lancashire.” To keep up to date with the latest news from police in your local area, sign up to the In The Know messaging service at www.stayintheknow.co.uk. | ||
