Metal floor grids stolen

Good morning 

We are appealing for witnesses after several metal grids were stolen from outside properties on Euston Grove in Morecambe. The grids are normally situated above the basement window on the outside. 

Local metal waste companies have been informed. 

If your property has this type of grid please make every attempt to secure it. This can be done several ways, but the two most popular are by attaching brackets to all four corners of the grid and screwing it down, or by attaching a strong metal chain to the underside of the grid, and securing the other end of the chain to the void area below the grid. 

If the grid is removed this can put persons at risk of falling when using the pavement. Please make extra efforts in having the area cordenned off until the grid is replaced.
