Warning to Blackpool Residents – Rogue Traders in the Area

Trading Standards are advising residents in Blackpool to remain vigilant following reports of suspected rogue traders operating locally.

These individuals may cold-call at your door offering services such as roofing, paving, guttering, or other home improvements, often claiming urgent work is needed. They may pressure you into making quick decisions or request payment upfront.

Please remember:
• Do not agree to work from unexpected doorstep callers
• Do not feel pressured into making immediate decisions
• Always seek multiple quotes from reputable businesses
• Never pay large sums of money upfront
• Ask for identification and verify credentials

Please also keep an eye on vulnerable neighbours who may need additional support. If safe to do so, try to obtain as much information as possible about any suspicious callers (such as descriptions, vehicles, or company details) without putting yourself at risk.
