Local Priorities Vehicle crime Message |
||
|
I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Vehicle crime , which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. We have been made aware of people in your area that have been going around trying their luck with car doors to see if they are unlocked. I am satisfied that they are only trying their luck and are not breaking into the cars, so I am advising that you ensure your cars remain locked when you are not in the vehicle and any valuables are either not on show or removed from your vehicle entirely. Also, although they have been targeting vehicles please also ensure all doors and windows are locked just to be safe. If you witness anything suspicious please report to 101 and if you deem it an emergency please dial 999. If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.lancashire.police.uk, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online webpage Home - Lancashire Constabulary - Report Online or call the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, you can stay 100 per cent anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
