Good afternoon Resident
Officers have been in the area today as we have had complaints around noise nuisance in the evenings. Natural living noises around the home are usual however incidents whereby loud music, loud guests, and deliberate banging noises will not be tolerated.
The Anti Social Behaviour Act 2003 addresses noise nuisance, which can be a form of anti social behaviour. The Act allows local authorities to take action against noise that causes a public nuisance which can include noise from premises, aircraft, building sites, or other sources. Councils has a duty to investigate complaints of noise and may issue warning notices or closure orders if necessary.
