Area updates - April 2026 |
||
|
Good morning :)
A few things this month for you to keep your eye on/pop in your diary!
The new PCSO for Worsthorne is Jody Hudson (7738) - there have been some changes in the areas we look after and Jody has moved to cover the Worsthorne/Cliviger/Rurals patch while I still cover Brunshaw. I'll still be around as our areas are neighbouring and you can, of course, always get in touch with me for advice or if you have any concerns. I know Jody will be in and around the area getting to know you all and she will be a familiar face to some!
ASB in Brunshaw - there have been some reports of anti-social behaviour, especially in the areas around Edgeworth Grove and Browsholme Avenue, which have been increasing over the last few weeks. We ask all members of the public to be diligent and remember to report any behaviour which falls short of that we would expect from our neighbours. This includes (but is not limited to) - damage to cars or buildings, fighting, abusive or threatening language and behaviour. Please call 999 where there is a threat to life or property, or potential for a situation to escalate, and 101 where there is no immediate threat.
Abandoned or inconsiderately parked vehicles - there have been an increase in cars which are considered ‘abandoned’ under the Road Traffic Act and/or are inconsiderately parked and causing distress to residents. I know living on terraced streets where there are several vehicles can be a pain if there is nowhere to park, however please remember that dropped kerbs, access to properties and obstructing the highway (especially for emergency service vehicles) could lead to a vehicle being seized under Section 99 of the Road Traffic Act with a hefty fee to be released from the compound. Please park sensibly and considerately to fellow neighbours and road users.
Hope you all enjoy the rest of your week!
