Stolen Defender

Dear Resident

Yesterday at approx 16:15 a Defender was stolen from a driveway on Shropshire Drive near to the junction with Durham Road. If you have any CCTV that may capture this vehicle or any vehicles in convoy please let me know by reply.

This theft follows on from 3 very similar thefts in Mellor a few weeks ago so clearly these vehicles are being actively targeted. If you have a high end vehicle please take a moment to consider the security of your home and vehicle. Do you have CCTV? Do you have additional barrier security such as a crook lock or driveway bollards? Does your vehicle have a tracker and is it activated and operational?
