Feedback from Lancashire Talking, Coffee with a Cop events and partnership meetings tells us that Road Safety continues to be the top priority and main concern for all our communities across Wyre.

As part of our commitment to keeping our roads safe, Wednesday saw Wyre NHPT conducting speed operations across Fleetwood, Thornton and Cleveleys at locations highlighted to us by Lancashire Road Safety Partnership - these sites are ones reported by YOU the local community as a concern.

We conducted Community Road Watch at:

🚗 South Promenade
🚗 Green Drive
🚗 Hilllylaid Road
🚗 Cleveleys Avenue
🚗 School Road
🚗 North Promenade
🚗 Larkholme Parade

Results:

✅ 221 vehicles checked

❌ Max speed recorded in a 20mph area was 36mph

🛑 21 drivers to be contacted in due course
