Hi Resident On Wednesday 17th June, Hyndburn Neighbourhood Officers conducted another Operation Rally across central areas (Peel, Barnfield, Baxenden, Church, Milnshaw & Huncoat). Activities centred around community engagement opportunities π€, with a number of βMeet Your Police Officerβ events and Mobile Police Station locations π available for the public to speak directly with officers. These were held at Wellington Street, Bolton Avenue, Manchester Road, Banbury Avenue, and Burnley Road π. The Mobile Police Station was based at Wellington Street in the morning π , before relocating to the playing fields on Bolton Avenue, Huncoat in the afternoon π. Residents also had opportunities throughout the day to discuss concerns at key community locations, including: Officers additionally attended Oakhill Park π³, providing bicycle marking services π² for anyone wishing to protect their property. You can have your say and receive alerts π’ by registering here: Officers also attended several school locations π in response to inconsiderate parking π, including: Advice was given, and drivers were encouraged to move on safely. πΆββοΈ Local foot patrols were conducted in areas highlighted for anti-social behaviour (ASB) during the evenings, supported by an ASB response vehicle π covering all areas of Hyndburn. π€ In addition, we were supported by Hyndburn Borough Council and a local councillor, with the Waste Service Department β»οΈ carrying out a community clean-up alongside volunteer support.
