A bit of news to share

Good afternoon,

A bit of good news to share if you haven't already seen on our Burnley and Padiham police facebook platform a few days ago.

A male from Burnley appeared in court last week after being charged with a number of vehicle crime offences and several shoplifting offences. The court sentenced him to 16 weeks' imprisonment and imposed a five-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO), effective from 3 July 2026, aimed at preventing further offending and protecting local businesses and residents.

I would like to thank the members of the public who provided CCTV footage, which proved instrumental in identifying the offender and ultimately led to his arrest. Your support and willingness to share information plays a vital role in helping us tackle crime and protect our communities.
