Help reduce the risk of wildfires during warm, dry weather |
||
|
Warm, dry conditions can increase the risk of wildfires.
By taking a few simple precautions, farmers and landowners can help protect their land, property, livestock and Lancashire’s countryside.
• Take care when using machinery or equipment that creates heat or sparks, such as welding or grinding • Avoid planned burning in hot/dry periods
Please take a few moments to check your land, buildings and equipment, and make sure you have suitable measures in place to help prevent fires from starting and spreading.
If a fire starts Call 999 immediately. When you contact us, please provide as much information as possible, including: • The exact location of the fire (what3words or OS grid reference if available)
If it is safe to do so: • Move people and livestock to a safe area
