Burglary in the Area – Crime Prevention Advice

Good afternoon,

We have received report of a burglary in the local area and would like to remind residents to take steps to protect their homes and belongings.

Please consider the following crime prevention measures:

Ensure all doors and windows are locked, even when you are at home.

Use quality locks on doors, windows, sheds, and garages.

Keep valuable items out of sight and mark property where possible.

Leave lights on timers when away from home to give the impression the property is occupied.

Keep side gates locked and secure any tools or ladders that could be used to gain access.

Consider installing a CCTV system, doorbell camera, or burglar alarm.

Be vigilant and report any suspicious activity, people, or vehicles to the police.
