Worsthorne - burglary alert

Good afternoon,

We have received multiple reports of activity overnight last night (2nd-3rd).

At around 02:30, 4 males dressed in black, wearing balaclavas entered an insecure van, and stole multiple tools from the top of Wallhurst Close. 

On the same night, at an unknown time, the stolen tools were used to force entry to a property on Raven Oak Lane. An untidy search was made, and a white Ford Fiesta was stolen with the keys.

If you have any cameras around the incident locations, the village square, or any of the main 3 routes out of Worsthorne. we ask that you please review the footage from the 2nd in to the 3rd. Our response officers did some CCTV enquiries at around 6am, asking for footage from around 5am. However, as a result of the van break being reported after the burglary report, we believe the burglary/vehicle theft may have occurred around 03:00 onwards.

Of note, we had 2 logs come in on the 2nd, reporting young males in balaclavas on motorcross bikes/surrons acting suspiciously around the Cliviger/Worsthorne area. One report came from Brownside Road at around 21:45, and another on Kettledrum Drive at around 22:00.
