Suspicious Activity in Appley Bridge

Good Afternoon All, 

Just for awareness we received a couple of reports of 3/4 people dressed in dark clothing wearing face coverings riding around the Appley Lane North area and surrounding streets on electric bikes at approx 03:30 am this morning.

At this moment in time we don't know what their intentions were but for people to be riding around on illegal bikes wearing face coverings in the early hours of the morning would suggest that they didn't want to be identified.

Please can i remind you all to lock up your vehicles and properties when not in use and if you have any CCTV/Door bell devices to make sure they are operational. Security lighting is also a good deterrent. 

If you see something suspicious please report it to Police on 101 or if you feel it is an Emergency 999
