Blackpool Ahead of the Curve as Knife Crime Crackdown Expands Nationwide |

Good afternoon,
Earlier today the Home Office announced the expansion of a national knife crime crackdown. Work in Blackpool is already underway, after Lancashire's Violence Reduction Network (VRN) secured £600,000 in funding from the Knife Crime Concentration Fund earlier this year! While 27 forces received funding at the same time, Lancashire is one of only seven areas where work to implement local plans has already begun.
But what does this mean for Blackpool residents? Well, it means more visible patrols in the town centre, more partnership working and more education and prevention work to address the root causes of knife crime offences. ✅
