Community Clean up - Olive Lane park area

Good afternoon, 

We are organising a community litter pick and tidy-up to help improve our local area, and we would love for residents to get involved. This is a great opportunity to take pride in our local neighbourhoods, meet other residents and help make the area cleaner, safer and more welcoming for everyone. 

The event will be supported by the local Neighbourhood Police team, local councillors, local groups and various departments from the local council who will be joining us as we work together to make the area cleaner, safe, and more welcoming for everyone. 

If you would like to take part, please come along and lend a hand.  Whether you can spare 30 minutes or a couple of hours, every bit makes a difference.

Date: Tuesday 27th October 2026

Time: 10.00am onwards

Meeting point: Olive Lane park

Please bring suitable clothing and footwear.  Litter-picking equipment will be provided where possible. Any children who may wish to attend must be supported by an appropriate adult.  

Refreshments will be available at Lord Street Children's Centre.

It would be great to see as many residents as possible getting involved and working together with the police and the local community.
